Logic Vs Feelings

Article 030. Which one are you? Are you the forlorn romantic who never gets deterred by heartaches and continues their quest to freely find the "right one"? Or are you easily alarmed by the "red flags" that you notice when meeting someone, methodically thinking every issue that may arise from it? Aaahhh the perennial debate on which one is the better stance. Today we tackle it. There are so many articles and videos and countless discussions already out there covering this topic. But I have not watched or read any of those to ensure that my objectivity is not influenced or swayed to one side over the other. And if you know me and would be inclined to think that I am gonna be biased based on what side I fall into, I promise to be as non-partisan as I can. Who knows, I may even take a different disposition at the end of this. Also, there's a lot of factors that lead to one person being a romantic or a thinker, such as upbringing, their environment, genes, et al. B...

Article 029. Let's go medical for a change, shall we? The year is 2022. Pick-up basketball game, just going thru the notions. After getting a rebound from an opponent miss, I threw a quick long pass to the other end of the court for a possible fast break easy-two for my cherry-picking teammate. The pass required an extensive twist of my torso to get enough leverage in completing the perfect long throw. When that moment happened, I heard a tweak sound from my back. So instead of forcing myself up, I laid down against my back and prayed that it ain't anyt...

Umbrella (A Short Story)

Article 028. Jenny was smitten. She and maybe the entire 4th floor female congregation, where the women evidently outnumber the men. Not only is there a disparity in the gender population at Athena Inc., but the amount of gorgeous women was undeniably prevalent. It was so obvious you would think Recruitment works for the Miss Universe pageantry. Competition is fierce so she knew she had no shot at the guy. And 25 year-old Jenny also knew that it was her radiant personality and Magna Cum Laude feather that landed her the job and not her curly hair and thick glasses. Plus Cedric, the center of all the madness, is a snob or at least that's what non-Sales people say about him. He is tall, chiseled-face, has well-moisturized skin and dresses almost GQ'esque-like with his earth-toned suits and an array of Oxford shoes. It doesn't hurt that he’s been a consistent Sales Performer for the company either. Jenny was just 3 months into the job when she first laid eyes on Cedric. Her Bo...
